A special Mystery Ball partnership between the Reds Wives and Reds Authentics jointly benefitted the Cincinnati NAACP and Reds Community Fund. For just $50, fans could purchase an authentic Major League Baseball signed by a current or former Reds player or coach. In addition to the Reds Community Fund, the fundraiser raised $11,400 the Cincinnati NAACP. The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

Each year, Reds Wives host fundraisers during home games at Great American Ball Park. Each fundraiser raises dollars for a local charity selected by the Reds Wives group.


The Reds Wives visited Ronald McDonald House and participated in the Taste of Hope Meals program. After touring the facility, the ladies prepared and served lunch to the families staying at the house. The program provides the nutrition kids need to heal and allows parents more time to focus on their children.

The Reds Wives hosted a Mystery Ball fundraiser on Saturday, May 18. Fans had the opportunity to purchase grab bags with baseballs autographed by members of the Reds 40-man roster. The charity recipient was the Neediest Kids of All, which provides a variety of basic necessities such as coats, shoes, clothing, and eyeglasses to children throughout the Greater Cincinnati tristate area. The event raised over $5,300 for the cause.
The Reds Wives hosted a "Players' Favorite Things" basket raffle on Saturday, June 15. Fans were able buy raffle tickets for a variety of different baskets that included items such as gift cards to their favorite stores, snacks and coffee, video games and autographed items. Participating players included Tucker Barnhart, Eugenio Suarez, Derek Dietrich, Michael Lorenzen, and more. The event raised $6,500 for Upspring, a local nonprofit whose focus is on education for children experiencing homelessness.

The Reds Wives hosted a "Players' Favorite Things" basket auction on Friday, August 10 through Friday, August 24. Fans were able bid on four different baskets that included items such as gift cards to their favorite stores, snacks and coffee, video games and autographed items. Participating players included Scooter Gennett, Billy Hamilton, Michael Lorenzen, Tucker Barnhart and more. The charity recipient was Crayons to Computers.
Cincinnati nonprofit Crayons to Computers works to level the playing field in the classroom by providing students in need the tools to succeed in school. The Teacher Free Store enables teachers from eligible schools to "shop" 10 times per school year for classroom supplies while the Mobile Outreach Program transports a subset of the store to distant schools. All product is 100% free of charge. Since its inception in 1997, Crayons to Computers has distributed more than $160 million worth of basic school supplies, educational tools and incentive items. With more than 450 schools and nearly 12,000 teachers eligible to shop, Crayons strives to serve nearly 119,000 children in need across 16 counties in the Greater Cincinnati area.
